Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with cardiac intervention experience for a night shift position requiring an OH or compact license.

Details

• ICU setting with cardiovascular focus
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Float required to all three campuses (Ontario, Bucyrus, Galion) as needed
• Call required with 1-hour arrival time when called in
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required, pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent, continuous ICU experience required
• Cardiac experience required, including post cath intervention, balloon pump, and Impella
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management and interpretation, IV therapy, arterial and central line management
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Respiratory/thoracic skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Experience with CVP monitoring, IABP, Impella, and pre/post cardiac cath/intervention including sheath removal
• Two recent supervisory references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiac ICU patients, including post-intervention monitoring and hemodynamic support
• No holiday or holiday week RTO requests will be approved
• Smoke-free facility and campus
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before being eligible for placement
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
