Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring NC or compact RN license and at least 2 years of current IMC experience.

Details

• Hospital-based staffing pool providing flexible nursing coverage across inpatient units and support for inpatients held in the ED
• Variable rotating days/nights schedule with 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• Every other weekend required and required on holidays as scheduled
• May be placed on low census (SB1) shift per pay period if census drops
• Skills utilized include tele monitoring, IV/PICC line care, IV insertion, tube care, and port access

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• CPI-A and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current IMC experience with willingness to accept IMC patients
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience overall
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
• PCU/IMC skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards, reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director
• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Perform patient education, discharge planning, and bedside point-of-care testing as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and plan patient care
• Assess and address complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
