Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/IMCU position requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS/ACLS certifications at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center.
Details
- Work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/5J), a 16-10 bed unit
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, and encephalopathy cases
- Administers heparin drips
- Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
- 36 hr contract per week
- No on-call requirements
- Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Block scheduling not approved
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required
- Background in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe patient cases required
- Experience managing critical, fast-paced clinical situations required
Additional Information
- Work at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
