Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on night shift, requiring 18 months of specialty experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license (Permanent) or compact license required in hand
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 18 months of recent combined specialty experience required, preferably within the last 3 years
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation with passing scores required

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Travelers expected to work every other holiday
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Background check hits are reviewed, but open cases will not be accepted
• No license hits accepted
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
• Extensions available for up to 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required
• Annual hands-on competency training required for continuous or returning travelers who attended orientation the prior year
• First-time travelers not considered for this role
