Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2-3+ years of ED experience and 1 year of travel nursing, with NC or compact RN license required.

Details

• 154-bed Duke Lifepoint hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Joint Commission accreditation
• 17-bed Emergency Department
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Geriatric and adult patient population primarily, with some pediatric cases
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, abdominal pain, and psychiatric presentations
• Uses ED Paragon EHR system
• Self-scheduling conducted through the When to Work app
• Weekend rotation every other weekend unless paired with a dedicated weekend worker
• No on-call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• 2-3+ years of Emergency Department experience required
• 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required at minimum
• Ability to efficiently and safely manage a team of patients regardless of acuity
• Ability to recognize changes in patient status and respond appropriately

• Bi-weekly orientation schedule with multiple upcoming start dates available
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Previous perm staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not permitted
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
