Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 2+ years experience, X-ray experience, and ARDMS/ARRT certification for a Level 3 trauma acute care facility.
Details
- Acute care setting within a Level 3 trauma facility, Radiology department (General X-Ray and Ultrasound)
- 2 ultrasound rooms performing general ultrasound only (no vascular or echo)
- Adult and pediatric patient population, including biopsy procedures
- Uses Siemens ultrasound equipment, EPIC EMR, and McKesson PACS
- Monday through Friday day shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- On-call requirement of 1 weekday night per week and every 4th weekend
- Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech present on each shift
- Cyclic scheduling with 8-9 hour shifts
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Sonographer required
- X-ray experience required
- BLS, ARRT, and ARDMS certifications required
- Ultrasound certificate required
- Active state or compact nursing license required if applicable
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Must be able to comply with fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails in patient care areas
Additional Information
- Perform general ultrasound imaging and biopsy procedures for adult and pediatric patients
- Includes on-call coverage for weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
- 1 week of unit-specific orientation, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- RTO must be submitted upfront; additional time off requests will not be approved after submission
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
