Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of interventional cath lab experience to support cardiologists, radiologists, and RNs in a hospital cath lab setting.
Details
- Interventional and diagnostic cardiac cath lab work setting
- Adult and pediatric/neonatal diagnostic catheterization cases
- 4x10 day shifts, either 7:00 AM-5:30 PM or 9:00 AM-7:30 PM
- Rotating nights and weekend call required
- Uses fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
Requirements
- BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA)
- RCES, CRT, or RCIS accepted; ARRT-R also accepted
- Minimum 2 years of interventional cath lab experience required
- Structural heart experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), and sterile field maintenance
- Experience with procedures such as PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, IABP, Impella, right/left heart catheterization, and temporary pacemaker placement preferred
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
Additional Information
- Provide technical support and patient monitoring during interventional and diagnostic cath lab procedures
- May mentor or train students
- Responsible for accurate procedural documentation, equipment setup, and recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias
- Serves as room circulator or scrub technician as needed
- First-time travelers considered
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning staff must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
