Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN with PCU/SDU experience for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring float coverage to medical/surgical units.

Details

• Stepdown float pool position with potential to float to medical/surgical floors as needed
• Patient ratio ranges from 1:3 to 5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Epic charting system used and required

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required, no pending state licenses accepted
• ASN required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, NIHSS certification also required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• PCU and SDU experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide care to stepdown patients including cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and post-surgical populations
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration required)
• Perform IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and utilize rapid response/code teams as needed
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
