Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown float pool position requiring 2 years of PCU/SDU experience and the ability to float to medical/surgical floors.
Details
- Stepdown float pool position with floating to medical/surgical units as needed
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Patient ratios range from 1:3 to 5
- Epic charting system required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Indiana or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/SDU experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry monitoring
- Experience managing neurological conditions such as CVA, TBI, and seizure disorders
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide stepdown-level nursing care with the flexibility to float to medical/surgical floors when needed
- First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Pending state licenses not accepted
