Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience and prior travel assignment history for a night shift position requiring multi-campus flexibility.

Details

• Hospital ICU unit setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Typical staffing ratio of 3:1
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Must be willing to float to other campus ICU units (Bucyrus & Galion) if census drops
• On-call responsibilities require return to facility within 1 hour if called in
• Epic charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required; pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent, consecutive ICU experience in a hospital/acute care setting required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with medication scanning required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial line, and central line care/management
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Respiratory/thoracic care experience including BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Two recent supervisory references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver critical care nursing services to ICU patients across multiple campus units as needed
• Facility is a smoke-free campus
• Any missed weekend shifts must be made up or covered by the traveler
• Time off requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted in advance
• Time off will not be granted for major holidays
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before being eligible for consideration
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
• Completion of up to 8 hours of non-billable orientation modules required prior to start via HealthStream
