Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a fast-paced surgical unit requiring proficiency in Ortho, Neuro, ENT, and GU cases including robotic procedures.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• 4x10 hour day shift schedule with variable start times as early as 5:30 AM due to a peel-off scheduling system
• Requires proficiency in Ortho, Ortho trauma, ENT, Neuro, Neuro trauma, and GU cases including robotic totals (Mako and Rosa) and GU robot cases
• Float to other service lines such as gyn, general, and vascular when Ortho and Neuro caseloads are lighter
• Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call required
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active MO state or compact RN license required in-hand at time of submission (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Preferred certifications: CNOR, PALS, RNFA
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in scrub techniques for Bariatric, Cardiovascular, Endoscopic, ENT, General, Gynecology, Neurology, Thoracic, and Vascular surgeries
• Cardiac monitoring experience required
• Conscious sedation monitoring experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide surgical nursing support across multiple specialties in a high-volume Operating Room
• Flexibility required due to non-set shift start times based on daily caseload needs
• Holiday rotation and every other weekend work required
• RTO is limited during holiday periods
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
