Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I trauma teaching hospital, requiring telemetry proficiency and prior travel experience.

Details

• Level I Trauma Center, teaching hospital emergency department
• Approximately 175 patient visits per day
• Evening (1500-0300) and Night (1900-0730) 3x12 shifts available
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• No floating outside of scope required
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• TNCC and/or ATCN certification required (ATCN preferred)
• ENPC and/or PALS certification required (ENPC preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of ED experience (including travel experience), with at least 2 years as staff RN in an ED
• 2 years staff experience in a Level 3 trauma center or higher required (Level 1 or 2 preferred)
• At least 1 previous ED travel assignment required
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required, with competency testing administered
• Required skills include ventilator management, IV starts, telemetry, and conscious sedation
• ICP monitoring experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care including cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and procedural sedation
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
• Minimal RTO accommodated; no time off permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
• Prior UW/Harborview staff must have at least 18 months of separation before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers not accepted; at least one completed travel assignment required
• Scrub color is any solid color, with light blue scrubs also provided on unit
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
