Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring Level I trauma cardiac cath experience and a FL or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a hospital Cath Lab unit
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday 7:30a-6p
- On-call required on both weekdays and weekends
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum two years of recent Cath Lab experience required
- EP experience required
- Cardiac Cath Level I Trauma experience required
- Skilled in administration and monitoring of procedural sedation
- Experience with diagnostic right and left heart catheterization
- Experience with interventional catheterization procedures
- Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Ability to circulate required; scrub ability preferred
- Degree from an accredited school, or a degree from an FBON-approved institution combined with two years of recent consecutive acute care experience in a US hospital within the past 24 months
Additional Information
- Circulate and scrub for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
- Monitor and manage patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Must report to the lab within 72 hours of signing
- Requires successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review
- Smoke-free facility
- Pass/fail EKG and basic arrhythmia testing required
- Local candidates considered within a 60 mile radius at a lower rate than travel pay
- Former Broward Health permanent employees must be separated for one year before returning as a traveler
