Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with EP experience for a Level I Trauma facility, requiring on-call availability and a FL/compact license.
Details
- Cath Lab unit with Level I Trauma cardiac cases
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30a-6p
- On-call required including weekdays and weekends
- Circulating required, scrubbing preferred
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- Minimum two years of recent Cath Lab experience required
- EP experience required
- Level I Trauma cardiac cath lab experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Experience with procedural sedation administration/monitoring
- Experience with diagnostic right and left heart catheterization
- Experience with interventional cath procedures
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Epic EMR experience required
- Degree from an accredited school required, or degree from an FBON-approved institution with two years of recent consecutive US acute care experience within the past 24 months
- Successful completion of Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening required, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review
Additional Information
- Responsible for circulating and, when qualified, scrubbing in for cardiac catheterization and EP procedures
- Smoke-free facility
- Locals accepted within a 60-mile radius at a lower rate
- Former Broward Health permanent employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates from Operation Nightingale schools are not accepted
- Pass/fail EKG and basic arrhythmia competency testing required prior to starting first shift
