Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a high-acuity, high-volume unit requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience.

Details

• Care for post-surgical patients from a wide range of specialties including vascular, general, thoracic, gynecology, neuro, orthopedic, kidney transplant, and Whipple procedures
• D/N rotation with variable start times of 0700, 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100, and 1900
• High acuity, high volume PACU environment, particularly busy during evening shifts
• Manage ventricular drains, but no ICP monitoring in PACU (patients requiring ICP monitoring go directly to ICU)
• Utilize arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and trachs
• Administer and monitor vasoactive and sedative drips
• Regularly board overnight ICU craniotomy, step down, or med-surg patients

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
• Previous ICU and/or high acuity PACU experience preferred
• Familiarity with vasoactive and sedative drip management required

Additional Information

• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Two professional references from managers required for consideration
