Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel position requiring current acute care ICU experience and NIH Stroke certification.
Details
- Adult ICU/CCU unit with 30 beds and 57 staff members
- Typical patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients, with overflow potential increasing ratios
- Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse plus bedside RNs at 1:2-3 ratio
- Nurse externs on staff to assist with patient care
- Unit utilizes Lenet beds and GE monitors
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Performs procedures including rapid intubation, chest tubes, and EVD placement
- Treats LVAD and CRRT patients
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license, CO or compact required
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care ICU experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
- Neuro certification preferred
- Neuro and trauma experience preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
- One professional reference required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Care for critically ill adult ICU/CCU patients including LVAD and CRRT cases
- Flexibility required to adjust assignments mid-shift based on patient acuity
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
- First-time travelers may be considered
