Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CV Progressive Care Unit position requiring cardiovascular experience and an active TX RN license.
Details
- Work on the 4W/4E PCU/CV-PCU unit of a hospital environment
- Cardiovascular patient population including post cardiac catheterization and post-op CABG patients
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to sister step-down and med-surg units, with reduced assignments on med-surg units
- Uses Meditech documentation system
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required, temporary licenses not accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
- Cardiovascular nursing experience required
- Meditech experience preferred
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care for cardiovascular patients including those recovering from cardiac catheterization and CABG procedures
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
- Adhere to facility dress code including royal blue scrubs with facility embroidery, clean and healthy nails with no artificial enhancements, neatly groomed hair and facial hair, minimal visible tattoos, and no visible piercings other than ears
- Company-wide attendance policy applies
- First-time travelers may be considered for this role
