Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a NICU position at a pediatric teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of Level III/IV NICU experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Level III/IV NICU setting within a pediatric teaching hospital
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating to different units required based on assignment needs
• Utilizes ventilator management equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and high frequency oscillator
• Performs neonatal/pediatric airway management including intubation assist and suctioning
• Administers nitric oxide (iNO) and various aerosol/nebulizer medication delivery systems

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, RRT
• OH state license required; license required if applicable
• License must be in hand at time of submission
• 2 supervisory references required, at least one from a manager or supervisor

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to critically ill neonatal patients in a Level III/IV NICU
• Work within pediatric critical care team structure
• Must be prepared to float to different units depending on assignment needs
• Candidates cannot have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years
• 60-mile radius rule applies for local candidates
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
