Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an LTAC Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit setting
• Respiratory/thoracic patient population with tracheostomy care and management
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM), Monday through Friday
• Weekend coverage supported by rotating on-call staff
• On-call responsibilities after 5pm daily and on weekends, supported by primary and backup call techs
• 13 to 26 week contract options available
• Floating to other units or campuses required based on census needs, limited to qualified and competency-verified areas

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Neuro experience required
• 1+ years of recent experience within the specific unit
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Skilled in complex wound care, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response
• Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, complex wound care, and tracheostomy care
• Orientation held every Monday, with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible for full travel pay rate
• Candidates residing 90-99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced pay rate
• First-time travelers are not specified for consideration
