Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN - Med/Surg Tele for a LTACH unit requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• LTACH Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Day shift, 4x12 hour shifts, 7:00-19:30, Monday through Friday
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
• 13 to 26 week contract options
• Weekends supported by rotating on-call staff
• On-call coverage required after 5pm daily and on weekends, supported by primary and backup call techs
• Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to qualified and competency-verified areas

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Minimum 1-year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
• Skilled in complex wound care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Tracheostomy care and management experience needed
• Respiratory/thoracic care experience needed
• Neuro experience needed

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry LTACH unit
• Perform cardiac monitoring and respond to emergencies as needed
• Manage complex wound care and tracheostomy care for patients
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay rate
• Candidates residing 90-99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced bill rate
• Night shift travelers for this specialty must reside 50+ miles from the contracted campus, with candidates under 50 miles ineligible
