Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a community-based teaching hospital, requiring ARRT MRI certification and recent EPIC experience.
Details
- Community hospital setting within MRI Services department
- 8/10-hour rotating day/evening shifts, mix of shift lengths to meet operational needs
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday scheduling
- On-call required one night per week (10p-6a) and every 4th or 5th weekend
- Facility uses a GE Optima 450w wide bore MRI unit
- Average of 12-14 MRI exams performed daily between 6am-10:30pm
- Procedures scheduled approximately 45 minutes apart
- Performs MRI contrast injections
- Float required within radiology, including fluoroscopy, OR, and off-site locations
- Uses Epic documentation system
Requirements
- ARRT MRI certification required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required
- Teaching facility experience required
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years required, non-negotiable
- Must be cross-trained in CT/X-ray
- Must be flexible with rotating shift schedules and call requirements
Additional Information
- Works alongside a large imaging team of 40+ staff members across modalities
- Performs generally routine exams consistent with community-based hospital caseload
- Must work 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day
- Scrubs of any color permitted, closed non-skid shoes required
- Minimal jewelry and no artificial nails per dress code policy
- Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended due to lack of public transit access
- All-season or snow tires recommended for vehicles during November through April
- Local candidates accepted
- Radius-based pay rate applies for candidates within 50-100 miles
