Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring an active CO or compact RN license and critical care nursing experience.

• Emergency Room setting
• 3x12-hour night shifts including weekends
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license, CO or compact, required
• Minimum 2 years critical care nursing experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire
• TNCC required upon hire or within 1 year of hire
• ENPC or PALS required within 6 months of hire, ENPC preferred
• Specialty certification for specialty areas preferred

Additional Information

• Provide professional nursing care for assigned emergency room patients
• Triage patients and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs
• Perform focused assessments of chief complaints according to established triage guidelines
• Move patients, draw blood samples, clean and bandage wounds, administer medications, and maintain supplies
• Carry out patient care in accordance with hospital policies and the Nurse Practice Act
• Strong time management skills required
