Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with prior travel experience for a hospital position requiring floating across multiple campuses.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a hospital/acute care setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Typical staffing ratio is 3:1
• Floating required to other campus ICU units (Bucyrus & Galion) to maintain hours based on census needs
• On-call responsibilities require arrival at the hospital within 1 hour when called in

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required; pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent, consecutive ICU experience in a hospital/acute care setting required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with medication scanning required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial line, and central line care/management
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with ETT and NT suctioning
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients across multiple hospital campuses as needed
• Must be willing and able to float to Ontario, Bucyrus, and Galion campuses
• Smoke-free facility and campus
• Time off requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted with application
• Time off is not accepted for major holidays
• Traveler must find coverage for missed weekend shifts during requested time off
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before reapplying
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
