Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience to perform interventional radiology and cardiac cath lab procedures.

Details

Interventional Radiology department in a hospital setting
4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a rotating day off
Call requirement of one primary and one backup weekday per month, plus one weekend every 6 weeks alternating between primary and backup
Uses Siemens imaging equipment and PACS system
Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience within Interventional Radiology
BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
Ohio state license required if applicable
Proficient in using Siemens equipment
Community hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
Skills include venous access, central line care, angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, TIPS, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, nephrostomy, and biliary drainage procedures
Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including PTCA
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Additional Information

Perform interventional radiology and cardiac cath lab procedures including vascular, genitourinary, and neurological studies
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
Maintain accurate patient records in Epic
First-time travelers are not considered; previous IR experience required
Former employees eligible for a travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this facility
Local candidates accepted at the same rate
RTO must be submitted with contract and limited to 7 days or less
Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director; no coworker references accepted
Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract
