Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring AWHONN and NRP certifications and an active TX RN license.

Details

• Work in a 4-bed LDR Labor & Delivery unit
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 (pitocin patients) to 2:1
• No unit secretary or tech support on the floor
• Uses Meditech/CPN documentation system
• Rotating weekend shift schedule with every other weekend required
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• No call requirements
• No floating required
• No RTO or special scheduling accommodations

Requirements

• Active TX RN license required, compact licenses accepted, temporary licenses not accepted
• Current BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
• 2+ years of hospital or specialty experience required
• Experience in labor and delivery, recovery, immediate newborn care, and golden hour baby care required
• Ability to circulate c-sections required
• Ability to scrub c-sections preferred
• Meditech experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and immediate newborn care including golden hour practices
• Support PACU care following c-section procedures
• Apply AIDET and bedside shift report practices for patient experience
• Facility provides scrubs
• Maintain clean, neat appearance per dress code including hair, nails, and coverage of visible tattoos and piercings other than ears
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
