Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring active NV RN licensure and 2 years of high-risk L&D hospital experience.

Details

  • High-risk OB unit with 15 labor beds, 9 antepartum beds, and 3 OR suites
  • 3x12 day shift schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
  • No on-call requirements
  • May be required to float to other maternal units, postpartum, and NICU
  • Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and occasional call shifts
  • Uses Epic charting system with training provided during orientation or test-out option available

Requirements

  • Active NV RN license required prior to start
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP required; STABLE certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery within a hospital setting
  • Recent travel experience required, including at least one 13-week assignment within the past year

Additional Information

  • Work in an extremely busy, fast-paced Level II trauma center serving a 500-mile radius
  • 800-bed hospital with 80 ER beds and high patient volume comparable to a Level I trauma center
  • May be required to float to other units based on organizational needs and competency level
  • Minimum of 2 major holidays required to be worked during the assignment
  • May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
  • Facility reserves the right to cancel shifts for low census with 48 hours notice, up to 13 weeks per contract
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • 13-week break required between assignments for returning travelers
  • No blocked scheduling allowed; all assignments are for 13 weeks
  • Requested RTO must be submitted in advance and will not be added to the end of the contract
