Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Ortho/Neuro unit requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least one year of recent ortho or med/surg experience.
Details
- Ortho/Neuro unit (Pav2/Pavilion) within a hospital setting
- 36-bed unit staffed with 27 team members including charge RN, techs, and secretary support
- RN to patient ratio of 5:1 and tech ratio of 8-12 patients per tech
- Common procedures include total joint replacements (knee, hip, shoulder) and spine surgery
- Uses immobilizers, braces, and cold treatment equipment
- Meditech EMR used
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license, CO or compact required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Ortho RN or Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Ortho/Spine experience preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care for ortho and neuro surgical patients, including total joint and spine surgery recovery
