Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a critical access hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and PICC/CVC management skills.

Details

• Progressive Care Med/Surg unit within a 17-bed critical access hospital providing inpatient, observation, and swing bed services
• No surgeries performed on-site; supported by 24-hour provider coverage, CT, X-Ray, and lab services
• Adult patient population, primarily 65+
• Patient ratio of 1:6 max
• Uses Paragon EHR system
• 12-hour day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend rotation required; additional weekend shifts can be accommodated if desired
• No call requirements
• Floating potential between Swain and Harris Regional on Med-Surg or equivalent units

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with PICC/CVC management and wound care required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Supported by strong multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, Speech, and RT
• Facility emphasizes a team-oriented care environment
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Previous perm staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months disqualifies candidates
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
