Description
American Traveler is hiring an OR RN Circulator with 2+ years perioperative experience, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required, plus regular on-call rotation.
Details
- Perioperative nursing role in the operating room and other perioperative service areas
- Day shift schedule with 5x8-hour shifts per week
- Regular scheduled on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit required
- Cares for all patient populations undergoing surgical procedures
Requirements
- Active RN license with OR specialty required
- Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Ability to work independently and make decisions based on measurable or verifiable criteria
- Ability to direct and supervise assigned personnel
Additional Information
- Acts as circulating nurse and patient advocate throughout the intraoperative surgical experience
- Responsible for protecting patients from injury caused by chemical, electrical, laser, mechanical, and thermal sources
- Performs counting procedures to prevent unintended retained surgical items
- Provides direction and supervision to personnel assigned during procedures
