Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN to provide neonatal intensive care while also floating as an NRP nurse and to postpartum units.

Details

  • Work in the NICU 1 unit within a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule, 36-48 hours per week, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Unit needs Post Partum experience
  • NICU RNs are required to float as NRP nurses and to postpartum units

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required from an approved vendor
  • Current NRP certification required
  • Minimum two years of recent experience in the NICU specialty required, with experience within the last three months
  • BSN and acute care facility experience preferred
  • No candidates with a prior hit on license will be considered

Additional Information

  • Delivers coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
  • Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines
  • Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care needs, develops and implements care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, healing, and compassionate care
  • Provides education to patients, families, and team members and participates in discharge planning for continuity of care
  • Delegates duties appropriately and coordinates the healthcare team
  • Required to receive all vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions possible
  • Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates
  • Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
