Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry position requiring at least 1 year of experience and MO or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Cardiac telemetry and neuro stepdown patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses Epic charting system
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
• 36 or 48 hour contracts available

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO State or Compact) required, must be in hand prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with rapid response/code team protocols
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide stepdown-level care including cardiac and neuro monitoring, medication management, and wound care
• Facility is a Level II Trauma and Level II Stroke Center
• Free parking provided on-site
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced pay rate
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for standard travel pay rate
• Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers may be considered
