Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Circulator RN with RLHC/PCI, peripheral, and EP circulating experience for a hospital assignment requiring an active VA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Cath Lab unit setting performing circulator duties
  • Shift schedule alternates between 4x10-hour days (0700-1730) and 3x12-hour days (0700-1930) depending on need
  • Call requirements include 2-3 call shifts per week with 2 call weekends every 6 weeks
  • Short call during the week runs 1730-2000 as backup unless cases are still running
  • Short call on weekends is backup coverage from 0700-1400 Saturday and Sunday
  • Long call is overnight emergency coverage from 1730-0700 with a required 30-minute or less onsite response time
  • Weekend long call spans Friday 1730 through Sunday 0700 for both emergent and non-emergent cases
  • Uses EPIC (CUPID Cath) charting system
  • Floating required in rotation with staff per facility policy and Joint Commission standards

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license in hand required at time of consideration
  • Experience as a Cath Lab Circulator with RLHC/PCI, peripheral, and EP circulating experience required
  • Must reside within 30 miles or 30 minutes of the facility for on-call responsibilities
  • Must attend either an accelerated or 2-day EPIC training class unless previously employed at the facility within the past 6 months
  • Proof of Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) unless an approved exemption is granted

Additional Information

  • Facility provides scrubs
  • Smoke/nicotine-free facility
  • Previous staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
  • RTO requests should be minimal, submitted upfront, and are approved at manager discretion; no RTO requests after offer
  • Some holiday coverage should be expected
  • Up to 7 non-billable hours of training modules required, completed during orientation
  • COVID vaccination verification or an approved exemption may be required
