Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week Critical Access Hospital assignment in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, requiring 3+ years of acute care experience and a VT or compact RN license.

Details

• 25-bed independent Critical Access Hospital setting
• Primarily adult Med/Surg patients with occasional pediatric admissions
• Broad scope of practice including medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, and outpatient care
• Flex day/night rotation with 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a)
• Opportunity to serve as Charge RN when needed
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active VT RN license or Compact Multi-State RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years recent acute care RN experience required
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Pediatric-only RN experience will not be considered
• Flu vaccination required with no exceptions

Additional Information

• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the Nursing Process across the lifespan
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including providers, nursing leadership, and support staff
• Work within a close-knit, collaborative nursing team in a rural community hospital
• Personal transportation required due to rural location with no public transit available
• Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing, though local resources can be provided
