Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a LDRP & Level 1 Nursery Unit night shift position requiring an active CO or compact RN license and 2 years of L&D experience.

Details

• Work in the Family Birthing Center, covering LDRP and Level 1 Nursery Unit
• Cares for both labor and neonate patients, including mother/baby couplet care
• Night shift schedule from 6pm to 6am, 36 hours per week
• Weekends required, with holidays potentially required
• Overtime is optional

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required upon acceptance
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• ACLS and NRP certifications preferred
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum phases, including breastfeeding assistance and education
• Educates mothers on infant care and postpartum wellness
• Documents patient care and communicates patient status to physicians and nursing supervisors
• Collaborates with nursery nurses and assists physicians with procedures
• May assist staff with emergencies in other nursing units as needed
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment within the unit
• Located in Salida, Colorado
