Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures with 2+ years IR experience and Neuro IR scrubbing experience for a travel assignment in Plano, TX.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology Lab setting performing IR procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients
  • 4x10 shifts with a rotating day off, 0700-1730
  • Call required, averaging about 10 call shifts per month, with call shifts Monday-Friday 1730-0700 and Saturday/Sunday 0700-0700
  • Cares for patients across newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric age groups

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Interventional Radiology
  • Experience scrubbing Neuro IR cases required
  • ARRT-R and ARRT-VI certification required
  • BLS (AHA Only) required
  • Active TX license required if applicable
  • Flu shot required with no exemptions granted
  • Two professional references required

Additional Information

  • Performs high quality IR procedures according to established protocols under general supervision of a Radiologist
  • Prepares patients and equipment for procedures, including positioning and setting exposure factors
  • Uses proper sterile technique for invasive multimodality procedures and maintains hand hygiene standards
  • Maintains documentation including requisitions, patient history, consent forms, and imaging records
  • May serve as preceptor for new team members
  • Scrubs provided
  • Radius rule of 50 miles applies, local candidates not accepted
