Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with Cath Lab and Angio scrub experience for a role at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in a Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, with Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures involvement
• Perform cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic catheterizations (adult), cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, PPI, and temporary pacemaker management
• Uses Philips equipment, PACS, and Epic for charting
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call requirement of approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks
• Must float within site and across the system as requested

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cath Lab and Angio with scrub experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
• Active Oregon state license or proof of Oregon license application and fingerprinting required (license required if applicable)
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in sterile technique, equipment set up, prep of access site, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required, preferably within the last year
• No felony convictions accepted; any background hit requires explanation statement and waiver/approval documentation

Additional Information

• Serve as room circulator or scrub technician maintaining a sterile field
• Responsible for stocking supplies and equipment operation/maintenance
• Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Required to complete assigned education modules within one week of assignment start
• Pre-start modules, skills testing, and competencies typically take 4-8 hours and are non-billable unless completed during orientation
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
• Local travelers are not accepted; candidates may not reside within 50 miles of any Legacy facility
• Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Mandatory low census cancellation policy allows one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty
• COVID vaccination required with no exemptions
