Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Cardiac unit position requiring MD or compact RN licensure and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Details
- Stepdown Cardiac/Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- 28-bed unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
- Patient diagnoses include CHF, MI, pre/post cardiac cath, TAVR, CVA, COPD, DM, and respiratory failure
- Patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
- EPIC EMR required
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 08:00-20:30
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within specialty and to like or lower acuity units as needed
- No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
Requirements
- Active RN license (MD state or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI
- Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown Cardiac/Telemetry experience required
Additional Information
- Provide stepdown-level cardiac and telemetry nursing care to a diverse patient population
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Navy blue scrubs required
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
