Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule, requiring active IA or compact RN licensure and at least one year of ER experience.
Details
- Emergency Department setting at facilities ranging from Level 1 to Level 4 trauma centers
- Uses Epic EMR
- Scheduled for 36 or 48 hours per week
Requirements
- Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) required at time of consideration
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year required
- One supervisory reference/performance evaluation from within 2 years of employment required
- RN candidates submitting to Illinois must also hold an active Iowa RN license or provide proof of application for an Iowa single-state or compact license during compliance
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
- Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
- Limited to 1 day off request during 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 regardless of holidays worked
