Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Invasive/Cath Lab position requiring IL licensure and prior cath lab experience.

Details

• Cardiovascular Invasive (Cath Lab) unit within a hospital setting
• 10-hour day shifts scheduled from 6:30 AM to 5 PM, 4 days per week
• On-call responsibilities for weekends and holidays
• May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web browsers
• Demonstrated critical thinking and independent clinical judgment
• Multicultural sensitivity and effective interpersonal skills
• Experience obtaining lab specimens and performing bedside lab testing

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care from admission through discharge
• Demonstrate technical knowledge of cath lab equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Educate patients and families using age-appropriate teaching strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including patient charts and event reports
• Advocate for patients and communicate effectively with physicians and care team members
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract period
