Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a night-shift Emergency Department position requiring 1+ year of ED experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 16-bed Emergency Department setting
• Variable patient ratio of 4:1
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 12-week assignment length
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• No mandatory 48-hour scheduling
• Uses FirstNet-Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• CPI certification required but may be completed on-site after contract start
• 1+ year of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Critical care assessment and management skills required
• IV skills and Cardiac Monitoring Competency required
• Skilled in IV/IO access, chest tube management, catheterization, and critical care drip administration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient triage, critical thinking, and comprehensive nursing assessment in a fast-paced ED environment
• Royal blue scrub color required
• RTO requests must be submitted in advance and made up at the end of the contract
• RTO blackout period includes Labor Day
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates will not be considered due to radius rule
• Former CHS permanent staff are ineligible if employed within the past 2 years
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
