Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with prior travel and teaching hospital experience for a role requiring both scrub and circulate skills at a major academic medical center.
Details
- Operating Room unit within a teaching hospital setting
- Day shift, 5x8 hours (11:00 AM-7:30 PM)
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Handles OHNS and craniotomy procedures, OMFS, plastic surgery, dental surgery, combined neurosurgery/OHNS procedures, open and endoscopic cases, and free flap reconstructive procedures
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed
- Epic charting system used
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of submission
- BSN required
- AHA BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience required
- Previous travel assignment experience required
- Previous charge experience required
- Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
- Scrub and circulate skills required
- Epic charting experience required
- 2 professional references from most recent employer required
Additional Information
- Perform scrub and circulate duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neurology, cardiovascular, general surgery, endoscopic, robotics, urology, ENT, bariatrics, transplant, and thoracic procedures
- Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
- All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract and no RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel
- Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
