Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department Days position requiring at least 1 year of ED experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Services department in a hospital setting
• 16-bed unit with variable 4:1 patient ratios
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 12-week contract assignment
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements
• EMR system used is Cerner FirstNet

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• CPI certification required but may be obtained on-site after contract start
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Critical care assessment and management skills required
• IV skills and cardiac monitoring competency required
• Skilled in triage, critical thinking, and nursing assessment
• Experience with IV/IO access, chest tube management, catheterization, and critical care drips
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform triage and critical care assessment for emergency department patients
• Manage IV/IO access, chest tubes, catheterizations, and critical care drips as needed
• Royal blue scrub color required
• RTO requests must be submitted in advance and made up at the end of the contract
• RTO blackout in effect for Labor Day
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates will not be considered under the radius rule
• Previous CHS facility perm staff within the last 2 years are not eligible for this travel position
