Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and current ARRT-R certification for an outpatient setting.

Details

Outpatient mammography setting with 2 rooms
Approximately 20 patient visits per day
1:1 patient ratio
5x8 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with potential for 4x10 block scheduling
Must be available to work Saturdays
No weekend requirement otherwise
Uses Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX equipment (preferred)
Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience required
ARRT-R certification required, ARRT-M certification preferred
BLS certification required
CA state license required; license required if applicable
Compact license must be in hand at time of submission, pending licenses not accepted
Experience with 3-D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, screening mammograms, and stereotactic biopsy required
Experience with fine needle aspiration and needle localizations preferred
Knowledge of radiation safety and universal precautions/core measures required

Additional Information

Perform diagnostic and screening mammography procedures including 3-D mammography, stereotactic biopsy, fine needle aspiration, and needle localizations
First-time travelers will be considered if they have relevant experience
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rate; local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period and must reside outside the 50-mile radius
RTO requests should be limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront during the application process
Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
May be required to float between sister facilities within the region
Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years are required
