Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring post-op ortho experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit with 27 beds
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Scheduled 3 days per week with every other weekend
• Float requirement between MS2 and MS3 units
• Unit secretaries available during dayshift and techs available on all shifts
• Uses Computer on Wheels, Pyxis, and Welch Allyn vital sign machines
• Charting completed in Meditech Expanse
• Performs blood transfusions and IV and central line maintenance

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Basic Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with post-op patients, especially orthopedic, required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg patients including post-op orthopedic cases
• Dark blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• No local candidates will be considered
