Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with 18 months of multi-specialty surgical experience and required call coverage.

Details

• Work in a hospital Operating Room department
• Cases include General, Gyn, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Podiatry, ENT, Minor Vascular, and GI procedures
• OR runs 5 rooms until 1700, 2 rooms until 1900, and 1 on-call room after 1900
• Shift options include five 8-hour shifts (0615-1445), four 10-hour shifts (0615-1645), or three 12-hour shifts (0615-1845), scheduled as needed
• Call coverage required on a rotating 8-week schedule totaling 6-8 weekdays and 2 weekend days
• Float required to other departments and facilities, including Perry Hospital, based on need

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required in hand
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 18 months of recent OR experience required
• CVOR RN candidates must have 18 months of full-time CVOR experience within the last 3 years, with strong cardiac, vascular, and endovascular case experience
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform surgical nursing duties across a wide range of specialties in a fast-paced OR environment
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Former Emory or Houston Perm staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days if not near a holiday, or 3 days if falling on or near a holiday, with only one holiday request allowed per assignment
