Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring the ability to interpret and sign off on telemetry strips.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit setting
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• May float to IMCU (stepdown) within skill set
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Must be able to interpret and sign off on telemetry strips
• Travel experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, and peripheral line care
• Experienced in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Experienced in isolation precautions/PPE and respiratory care including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Two supervisor references required, with rules varying based on submission timing

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients including cardiac monitoring and respiratory support
• Facility cannot accommodate travelers with latex allergies
• Travelers may return only after a minimum 1-year separation from the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within 50 miles
• Travel pairs accepted
