Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ICU experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit in a short-term acute care hospital
• Performs CT guided biopsy, fistulograms, GJ-tube placement, lower extremity angiograms, nuclear med/stress tests, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and Y90 procedures
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekend coverage varies based on staffing needs, approximately every 3-4 weekends
• On-call required approximately one weeknight every other week (1700-0700) and one weekend every 4-6 weeks (Friday 1700 to Monday 0700)
• May be required to float between sister facilities nearby
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required, must be in hand at submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of IR nursing experience required, 3-5 years preferred
• ICU experience required (hardstop requirement)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation/management, procedural sedation monitoring, and medication administration for procedural sedation
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care during interventional radiology procedures including monitoring and medication administration during procedural sedation
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem roles
• Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they do not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract but may be considered as local hires at a lower bill rate
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests should be minimal and submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
