Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level II Trauma Center experience and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Level II Trauma Center Adult/Pedi ER, including ED Holding, Triage, and Urgent Care areas
- Treats chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness, abdominal pain, and emergent, urgent, and non-urgent conditions and injuries
- Pediatric patients make up approximately 20% of the caseload
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
- 13-week assignment length
- Floating between sister facilities may be required
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
- Level II Trauma Center experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skilled in chest tube setup/care, TPA administration, breathing treatments, trach care, RSI drugs, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, LVAD/Impella management, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and rapid infuser use
- Additional skills include respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, ABG interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
- Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
- Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility to be considered, or accept a lower bill rate if outside this radius
- Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff, including location and dates
