Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a busy, high-acuity Emergency Department requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Large, busy non-trauma Emergency Department serving adolescents to geriatrics
- 59-bed ER averaging 165-175 patients per day
- 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Stroke and STEMI certified facility
- Uses Epic and Pyxis systems
- Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
- Rare floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required, with at least 2-3 completed ER travel contracts preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Preferred certifications: SANE, TNCC
- Preferred experience in charge role, teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II settings
- Strong skills across pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, cardiac, and trauma emergency care
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and behavioral health crises
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
- Maximum 7 days RTO per contract, must be finalized at time of submission
- No RTO permitted during orientation week
- No schedule or shift change requests permitted after offer or onsite
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Previous Piedmont employees (perm/per diem/FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
- Travelers previously unable to return to a Piedmont facility must complete one successful assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
