Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring cardiac drip proficiency and a minimum of 1 year of experience.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Patient ratios up to 1:6-7
- Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 schedule based on traveler preference (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Block scheduling available
Requirements
- Active AL or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
- Must be proficient with cardiac drips including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone
- Experience in large healthcare facilities required
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit for adult and geriatric patients
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
- Former permanent staff are not eligible to apply within 10 years of separation
- Travelers must take a 6-month break after completing 2 consecutive contracts before returning, with exceptions considered case-by-case
