Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring ARRT/AZRT certification and call coverage.

Details

• Acute care setting in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 3 cath lab rooms plus 1 hybrid OR
• Averages 13-26 cases per day
• Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, CAD, PAD, PVD, CHF, and heart blocks
• Cases include cardiac, peripheral vascular, interventional radiology, and pacemaker insertions
• Uses Merge and Cerner as EMR and hemodynamic monitoring systems
• Philips X-ray equipment used in procedures
• Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts
• First to float when floating is required
• Call required, typically 1 night shift per week and 1 weekend per 4-week period
• Call response time of 30 minutes
• Holiday call distributed equally among staff

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• ARRT and AZRT certifications required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac cases experience required
• IR experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience

Additional Information

• Responsible for controlling the C-arm during procedures, assisting physicians with scrubbing, and patient preparation within scope of practice
• Cardiologist coverage available 24/7 with call hours typically M-F 17:30-7:00 and 24 hours on weekends
• Manager, director, and charge RN support typically available 6:30am-5:00pm
• 1-2 days of general orientation plus 2 days of unit-specific orientation
• OR scrubs provided by the hospital
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not have been employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
